Yes. SSC sells quality flat steel worldwide. Stock, processing and dispatch take place at the 360,000 m² site in Burg near Magdeburg; collection and delivery Mon–Thu 06:00–15:00, Fri 06:00–11:00.

Its roots go back to 1880, when the first steel warehouse to supply the tool and saw industry was established in Remscheid. This gave rise to the Sägenstahlcenter run by ThyssenKrupp, whose business SSC Sägenstahlcenter GmbH has continued since 2015, headquartered in Burg near Magdeburg.

Yes — cross-cutting up to 2,000 mm width and 15,000 mm length, mechanical plate cutting up to 3,000 × 6,000 mm, laser cutting up to 15 mm thickness, plasma cutting up to 50 mm thickness, as well as piece hardening and tempering to customer specification.

Yes. SSC concludes framework agreements with customers worldwide for predictable, long-term supply — and at the same time serves spot deals at short notice from its stock of over 5,000 tonnes.

Yes. SSC sets up consignment stocks for large customers. The material is located directly at the customer's premises, is only invoiced when it is removed and is immediately available — this optimises financing and shortens supply routes, especially in more distant regions with high transport costs.

Yes. The team has many years of experience from the former ThyssenKrupp Sägenstahlcenter and knows the requirements of different markets and regions worldwide — from grade selection to suitable processing.

The combination of exclusively European goods, the material expertise from the ThyssenKrupp Group, a wide range of its own stock with over 5,000 tonnes, its own in-house processing at the site and flexible delivery models ranging from spot deals to framework agreements and consignment stocks.

At the shared Burg site, the sister company Edelstahl Service Center Burg GmbH has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and additionally to DIN EN ISO 14001 (TÜV NORD CERT) since 1993 — including the performance of material testing. In addition, SSC uses laboratory and testing capacities of qualified external partners.
